Alright. So let's talk about system emails. Now, this topic kind of confuses me even sometimes. So what's the difference between a system email and a communication template? So think of communication templates as a pattern for an email that a person's gonna use and a system email is a pattern for an email that the system is gonna use.
So the system emails is really for the for Rock and a lot of its jobs and a lot of its custom settings. It's gonna need to send emails and we want you to be able to configure how those emails look. So those are gonna be system emails. Whereas communication templates are usually for you or your or your staff to send messages to folks. So let's take a look at where we can, configure those system emails.
And so to configure that, we go under admin tools, communications, and system emails. Okay. And so when you do that, you'll see that there is a list of them that come out of the box. A lot of these are first some of the financial tools or some of the group, tools and jobs to send, pending, group membership notifications and, the workflow notification, when you get a new form is here. And so you can go ahead and and you can edit these.
If if there is something you wanna change on the giving receipt, you just come in here and and go ahead and change it. A lot of these system emails use this global, email header. So this is defined once in the global attributes and then you use it in a lot of your different, system emails. And that keeps you from having to change, this header in all sorts of places. You can just kinda change it one place and just reuse it in lots of other places.
Okay. So this, these are the the system emails. Generally, you're gonna be coming here to edit these, but you can add them, , too. So if you wanna keep the system one, but you just wanna maybe create your own, you can. So you just click add and you'd say the same see the same fields that you saw before.
Okay? So I guess just come in here, take a look at what's available, look at what you might wanna change. I would probably recommend keeping a backup copy of the system one, just in case you wanna go back to it or review it, if you're tweaking on yours. But this is where you will go ahead and edit your system emails.
