Rapid attendance entry is, of course, used to enter attendance in a quick way. But there's a lot more that you can do with this block besides just entering an attendance. So in this video, we're gonna take a look at the rapid attendance entry block and how you can extend it to meet your needs. Alright. To start, we're gonna go to people and rapid attendance entry. And the first thing that you'll get here is a page that asks for a group, location, schedule, and attendance date. Now, you won't always have values for here. A lot of this is driven by by the group. At a minimum, you'll need to pick a group and the attendance date. So we're just gonna do that. We'll take attendance here for the well, maybe we'll do the Decker group. Okay. And we need to pick a date in this case, and so we'll just pick a date and click start. Okay. So automatically, right away, we know what group we're entering attendance for and the date that we're entering attendance for that group. But right now, there's not much we can do because we first need to do a search. So I'm going do a quick search for Decker. And that'll give me all of the Decker family members listed here along the left. And you'll notice that now we have many, many options available to us. So let's kind of go over everything we can see and do on this page here. The first thing that you might wanna do is, click the gear icon just to be aware of this because this is how you're gonna come and change the group attendance date, maybe the location, the schedule if you have those selected. So that's how you're gonna go back and, and change those settings. Then, up at the top here, we have, the family info, which just shows the name of the family, their address. You'll notice over here, you can edit the family's information, and you can also add a member, to the family. So you can add people too. Then down below, have the actual attendance, and so we can mark the people who we're gonna take attendance for. So if Ted and Cindy were there, then we would mark them, and their attendance will get recorded. Then down below, you can select individuals, And we can click on each person in turn, and then sort of the rest of the page down below just applies to that person. You can also choose the person along the left over here, and that works too. So once you have an individual selected, one of the things that you can do on this page is actually create a prayer request for that person. And you can choose to make it urgent, public, you can assign the prayer category to it, but you can automatically add a prayer prayer request right along with your attendance. The other thing that we wanna point out here is if the person or family that you're looking for can't be found, you can also add a new family directly from this block. So here, we can take attendance and enter prayer requests. But if we open up the block settings, you'll see there's even more that we can do in rapid attendance entry. So, of course, you have some standard, the name and the add family page and stuff that. But let's take a look at, the attendance options. So first, are you gonna enable attendance at all? , there's other things that you can do with this block, and maybe, attendance isn't one of those things. You wanna use it for other purposes. You can go ahead and turn off attendance, if you need to. Down below, in the family section, you can pick, family attributes. Those would be group attributes that apply to the family. You also have, the header Lava template, and this is really just showing the family's name and and their address. And then down below, we have the individual settings. And, again, we have a lot a Lava template for there, so, , to show the person's, , name and email and stuff that. If we keep going down, you can see a notes section because you can add notes from here if you want, and you just need to pick the note type. So maybe we we'll pick a couple of note types just so we can see what that'll look . Then down below, you have your prayer settings. And so this is where you can turn on or off the prayer request entry. And then you have other settings that are specific to prayer requests. And then down at the bottom, you have a workflow section. So you can launch a workflow from this block. And by default, the workflow is called I'm interested in, and this is coming from maybe a contact card or something that somebody filled in, and you can launch a workflow. So we'll just pick a we'll just pick a random workflow here. We'll pick photo request just for example purposes so you can see what this looks . Okay. So with these settings in place, we're gonna go ahead and save. Oh, we missed something. Oh, yes. The attendance age limit, which is required, but this is just the limit. , people you can't enter attendance for anybody younger than this limit. And I'm just gonna put that at zero for right now because we're gonna say that we can enter attendance for anybody. Okay. So now, with those changes in place, , I can click on Alex Decker. I can still take their attendance, but I can also launch a workflow. I can also pick a note type and add a note. And just before, I can also do a prayer request. So and there's other block settings that we didn't cover. So be sure and review all the block settings and look at all the different functions and features that you have on this block. So, as you can see, you can use this block to enter all kinds of different information, all from one place. And it's not uncommon to have multiple different versions of this block, on different pages to do different things, since there are a lot of options.
