You can enable group history on the group type. And then once you do, for all groups of that type, you'll be able to access a history of changes to that group and its membership. Let's take a look. So, we'll start with the group type, which we can get to under admin tools, general settings, and group types. And let's go ahead and check out the, the small groups, group type, the small group group type. Now here under the general settings, you can see that we have enable group history enabled. And that's where that gets set to apply to all groups of of the given type, whatever type you're working with. So, we have enabled group history turned on. Let's see what that looks . To do that, we'll go over to people and the group viewer. And from here, we'll go ahead and select a small group. We'll say Alicia Marbles group. We'll pick that one. Now, there's a couple things that we'll notice right off the bat, because we have group history turned on. One of the first is that there's an archive button down here instead of a delete option for the group. So, if we were to archive this group, it falls off of the list, and so we can't see it anymore. But, we can pull it back by going to admin tools, general settings, and archived groups. And if we click on that, we can see Alicia Marble's group, and we can see, all of that. And all we need to do is click this little refresh button here to restore the group back. So we'll go ahead and click that. And then if we go back to the group viewer, we can see Alicia Marbles group has come back with all of its members, and we're good to go. So that's archiving. The other item that you'll notice is this little icon down here with the clock. And this is the group history icon. And if we click it, and here we get a timeline of events chronologically that shows different changes that were made to the group. So, that includes changes to the group's membership, as well as items about the group. Anything that's happened to the group, it'll get tracked here on this timeline. There's a couple other things that we can do on this page. First of all, if you click the gear icon over here, you can choose whether or not to show group members in the history. By default, it's set to on, but if we turn it off, you might notice that we, removed a couple of items here that had to do with group membership. We'll go ahead and leave that on for now. You also have here the member history button. And if we click that, then it'll give you information on, the members of the group and anybody who has been a member when they were added, when they were removed, the last role that they had, the last status. Now, from this page, we're gonna check out Jenny Michaels' profile. And you can do that by clicking the little button over here to go to the person profile. And we're gonna look at the groups tab on the person profile. And under the groups tab, you can see we have our group history here. And this is the group history block. And you can tell that, Jenny was in two groups, both of them small groups, up until the current time. And then, of course, down below, we have the group list, which, you'll note that there's an archive button here, for this person. And what that'll do is that will, archive Jenny Michaels from these groups rather than deleting Jenny out of those groups. And again, that's because group history is turned on. So let's go ahead and archive Jenny Michaels from Alicia Marbles group. We'll do that here from the person profile. And we're gonna archive that person from the group. It still shows up in the history because they still were a part of the group. Now, let's go to the group viewer again, and pull up Alicia Marble's group, and we can see that Jenny is no longer listed because we archived her. And if we were to try to add Jenny back into the group and save, we get this message that says that there's an archive record for Jenny, and do we want to restore from the archive? And likely, in many cases, you'll want to just restore. And when you do that and hit save, it'll bring Jenny back just she was, and now she's re added to the group from the archive.
