The giving overview can be found on every person's person profile under the contribution tab, and it's packed with all kinds of insightful information about a person, their giving, and their giving habits. The purpose of this is not to classify people or to compare their giving to others, but really to gather insight on where their heart is when it comes to giving. So for example, , has the person been trusting God with their finances? You can make those sorts of determinations using the information in the giving overview. To start, we'll look at the giving overview for an individual. So let's go ahead and pull up Ted Decker's record. And on his person profile page, under the contributions tab, is where we can see the giving overview. And, again, there's a lot of information packed in here, so we'll take it piece by piece. First, along the top, you can see the person's first gift, which was seven years ago, and you can see their last gift, which, in this case, was just fifteen hours ago. This gives you an idea of the range of giving for this person. You can also see giving alerts. In this case, Ted Decker has one gratitude giving alert, and you can click this to go to the giving alerts page to actually view the alerts themselves. We have a whole video on giving alerts, so be sure and check that out for more information. Then you can see how much the person gave in the last twelve months and in the last ninety days. Those are pretty self explanatory. You can see that the person gives, as a family rather than as an individual. And Ted Decker, his giving journey stage is consistent. And, again, we have a whole video on giving journey, so check that out for for the other stages that you might see and for the criteria on what it is exactly that makes Ted a consistent giver. Down below, we have the giving by month, which is very, very insightful. In this case, it's a little boring because Ted gives pretty consistently every month, but each bar represents a month, and it goes back all the way, in this case, to May 2019. And you can see for each month how much Ted gave and how much it varies by. So, , here there was a gap that's kind of interesting. Maybe something happened there, and there were a couple gaps around this time period. So, , if we were to look at that, we might, if this were current information, we might ask Ted, , hey. Is everything okay? Just kinda check-in since, since there's been a gap here. But Ted's fine for now. In fact, he gave he gave a lot recently and has been giving pretty consistently, over the past several months. So, that's what you can tell from this chart. Down below, we have the giving characteristics, which start with the person's typical gift, which in Ted's case is $315. And that's very true, especially if we look at the chart. We can see that for every month he's given, he's given $350. And that's why Ted has an IQR variance of zero. In other words, how much, from their typical gift can it vary? In in Ted's case, it varies by $0 cause he always gives $315. But other people, you might see a higher value here to say, , they typically give maybe $300, but that can vary by as much as $50 or something that. Here, you also have the typical frequency. This is very much the typical gift, but it just relates to the frequency of giving. So here, we can see Ted gives about once every twenty nine day twenty nine days, and that can vary by as much as four point six days. So this tells us that Ted is pretty much a monthly giver. He gives, on average, once every twenty nine days. To the right, you can see the percent scheduled, which for Ted is 0%. And that's interesting because if we were to see this, we might reach out to Ted and and let him know, hey. , you can schedule these these payments instead of having to do them individually month by month. Ted would be a particularly good candidate for that since he gives so consistently, which is backed up by these next fields that we see here. So Ted's frequency is monthly. You might see other frequencies, for people who give, , maybe biweekly or something that. Ted's preferred currency is check. So most of the time, he's writing checks every month is what it seems . And he's he's bringing those checks on-site. His preferred source is is on-site as opposed to something online or something that. So, again, you might take this and go, hey. Ted's a pretty good candidate for maybe scheduling these transactions, , to come off of a credit card instead of having to write out a check every month, for on-site collection. To the right of this, we have the community view, which gets a little bit tricky. The community view basically takes this person's giving and shows you where it falls in in the broader sense of giving across all individuals in your organization. And so Ted is in bin one, which means, he's in the ninety ninth percentile, which means he gives he gives a lot. He gives amongst the most in the church. But we also have bins two, three, and four that person that the person could fall into. Four being someone who, is is probably not tithing. Bin four would be somebody who isn't giving a lot. Their giving is is comparatively low. And, we're not looking at that to classify people, but just to indicate, , where does this person's giving fall. And especially when this changes. , we to say that if a person goes from bin four to bin three, they've had a change of mind, while going from bin three to bin two represents a change of heart. And so, again, there's a lot of insight that you can get out of that to see, , where where the person's giving falls in in a grander context. And then, of course, down below, we have, the yearly summary. This wraps up the giving overview. You can see for each year how much Ted has given and into which funds. We can show more to show see data for prior years all the way back to, the beginning of his giving, which is backed up by his first gift being seven years ago. And so, again, here you can look at this to kind of identify annual patterns of giving. And it looks Ted's fairly consistent in terms of the amount that he gives, each year. So, as you've seen, the giving overview contains a wealth of information about a person's giving. And as a bonus, each of those items is stored as a person attribute, so you can reference, information from the person's giving overview in things communications or reporting.
