Rock U - Check-In - Check-in Celebrations
Transcribed Video Content
Celebrations can be seen and heard by the person checking in when their check-in results in an achievement being earned. After all, if a goal has been met, it makes sense to celebrate it. So in this video, we're gonna go over check-in celebrations and some of the, underlying configuration you'll need in place in order to use them. To start, we're gonna look at streaks because streaks will feed achievements, which then feed into celebrations. So, if we take a look at streaks, Rock ships with one for weekly attendance.
And if we click on that and edit it to see how it's configured, we can see that it's configured to track any attendance, and the frequency is weekly. So it's gonna be tracking weekly attendance, who who attended week by week. And that's really all we need for our streak configuration. Next, we'll go to the achievement configuration, which we'll need for celebrations, and Rock ships with two, ten weeks in a row or twenty weeks in a year. We're gonna look at the ten weeks in a row achievement, and we will edit it to take a look at its settings.
It uses an achievement event of streaks consecutive because, again, we're looking for consecutive attendance, that is to say attendance in consecutive weeks. The streak type is the one that we just looked at, weekly attendance, so that's the streak that we're using. And then we have the number to achieve of 10, so that's telling us that in order to meet the conditions of the achievement to to reach the goal, you need to have ten consecutive weeks of attendance. And that's about all the setup that you need for achievements. Next, we're gonna go under admin tools, check-in, and we're gonna look at our check-in configuration.
From here, we'll pull up our weekly service check-in, and we're gonna go ahead and edit this check-in configuration. And when we do, all that you need to do to enable celebrations is under the general settings, just list out the achievement types that you wanna track, achievements and celebrations for. So in this case, a celebration will be shown for the ten weeks in a row achievement, which means when someone goes to check-in, if it's their tenth week in a row, they'll see the celebration on the check-in screen, on the kiosk, or however you have it set up. And that's all that you need to really have in place for the check-in configuration, is just to have your achievement type configured and added to the achievement types that you want to track. So, we can go ahead and save.
And now we're ready to see what the check-in looks when someone earns an achievement and thus triggers a celebration. For an example, we're gonna go ahead and check-in Noah Decker. We'll check him into our test service time here and into the Bears Room. And as soon as we do, you can see a burst of confetti. We can see up at the top, celebration.
Noah Decker celebrates one week. This is a special achievement that we set up for for attending a single week. Down below, you can see other achievements that are being tracked for celebrations, but either have or have not been met. So in this case, we can see that Noah is one out of ten weeks away from earning the ten weeks in a row achievement and has earned the one week achievement. For this example, we're gonna switch themes, to the adventure theme, and we'll go ahead and check-in Alex Decker into our test service time, and we'll go ahead and put her in the bears room too.
And this time when we do, you can see a lion jumping across the screen, and you can't hear it, but there's also a roar associated with that lion. So, here again, we can see that Alex Decker has celebrated one week, and, is also one out of 10 towards earning the ten weeks in a row achievement. Now, we've shown you a couple of different types of check-in celebrations for a couple different types of themes. For most of the themes, you can customize some of the colors that either the balloons or the confetti can take. And to do that, we can go to admin tools, CMS configuration themes.
And so if we were to look at the, check-in arrow theme, down to the theme controls, we have, celebrations configuration. And if we expand that, we can see that we have control over what colors are shown, in this case, in in confetti. The park theme has balloons, Most of the others have confetti. But you can change what colors you wanna see, maybe to match your branding or something that goes along with the theme. And as it says, you can use a single color multiple times to increase its frequency.
If you have custom themes, you can implement your own celebrations using CSS and JavaScript if you have access to those resources. Either way, check-in celebrations are a great way to encourage and celebrate attendance or engagement.
