In this video, we're going to show you how you can add prayer requests, administrate prayer requests, and have your prayer team pray for prayer requests. Let's take a look. Now, most of your prayer requests are probably gonna come from the external website. And we can enter a prayer request by going to connect. And then under connect, we can click on prayer. And when we do, we're presented with a pretty basic form where we can enter in a first name, a last name. This is pre populated for me because I was logged in. And an email address. And then below that, we can have the actual request itself. So let's go ahead and enter in our request. And then all we need to do is click save request. And once we have, we get a little message, thank you for allowing us to pray for you. And there's a and there's a link to add another request. And if we click that, we get brought back to the same form again, and we can enter in a second request if we need to. While we're on this page, let's take a look at some of the block settings for the prayer request entry block. Now, there are a lot of settings here, and we're not going go over all of them. But there are a couple, , you might want to enable the urgent flag, which allows the person entering the prayer request to indicate whether or not the prayer is urgent. You might want to enable the comments flag, which will give the person the option of either allowing or not allowing comments for their prayer. And there's several other settings here that, that you might want to take a look at. But as we scroll down, you see that we can also customize the save success text. So by default, it just says thank you for allowing us to pray for you, but you can add in whatever you want. And it is lava enabled, so you can personalize it as you . Last but not least in the box settings, don't forget that you can launch a workflow. When the prayer request is created, this workflow will be launched. And once it is, then you can do anything that you can do with the workflow. So there's a lot of options for what you can do when a prayer request is entered. So now that we've seen how to enter a prayer request from the external site, let's see how we can do it from the internal site. We'll enter a prayer request by going over to people and prayer, and there's a block just for that, add prayer request. And if we do that, we can put in a person who requested their prayer, fills out their information automatically. This is very similar to the external site, except we do have a couple other options that the, external site doesn't have, including whether or not it's active, if it's public or urgent, whether or not comments can be allowed, and an expiration date. We can also, from here, change the category. So if you wanted to put this into a different category, you can do that too. Otherwise, for the most part, all you'll need to do is come in and enter the request. We'll just make it a quick quick and simple request, and we can save that. So now that we have a couple of prayer requests entered, we need to administrate them. And we can do that from the prayer requests block here. And this will list all the prayer requests. It'll tell you their name, the category, when they were entered, and the request itself. What you'll probably wanna do if you have prayer requests set up to not be automatically approved is use this page to go through and approve them. You might have it set to not be automatically approved if you were concerned that people might be entering inappropriate things in the in the in their prayer request. And so this gives you a chance to look at them before they go out to your prayer team. And that's set on the external site's block settings. So now that we have a couple prayer requests in here, let's head back to the external site to see how your prayer team can pray for them. So from the external site, we're gonna go back to connect and prayer. And when we do that, there's a prayer team button that's up here. And we can click that button. And the first thing that it'll do is let you select categories to pray from. We're only using one category in this example, the general category, so that's the only option we have. And we can click start. And when we do, we get one prayer request at a time. So here's our our prayer request. And we can write a note, a little comment, and we can save it. And then we can move on to the next prayer request in the list by clicking next. And, again, we can write a little comment and save it. Or at any point, we can click the end session link to end the session. And if we do that, we can always start again and go through the prayer requests that are there. Now if we head back to the internal site, and if we go under people and prayer, we can look at the prayer comments. And we can view the individual comments associated with each prayer request. , you wanna make sure that the comments are good and appropriate, and this is a way for you to administrate and check that. And that's how you can enter and administrate prayer requests. For more information, we have an entire user manual on prayer, so be sure and check that out on our community website. Thanks for watching.
