Okay. So let's first talk about check-in locations and that is the where of check-in. So we configure these locations under admin tools, check-in, and named locations. So named locations are just basically locations that you want to give a name to. They might have an address, they might not.
In this case for check-in, they typically don't. They're typically gonna be your campuses and underneath campuses you'll have buildings and under buildings you'll have rooms. Now rooms are are really the level that you're gonna use for check-in in terms of configuration. The buildings are just a grouping kind of concept. So, here we can see a listing of different rooms, within that named location And, if we go ahead and edit that, then we're gonna see, the different things that we can set.
So we can set the parent location, so that's gonna be the building. The name is actually really important because that's actually gonna show up in in the check-in. There's some other configuration here in terms of printing and we'll we'll talk about that in in other videos. Another key, attribute especially your property as it relates to check-in is active. And that's gonna determine whether this room is open or closed.
Okay. So that's a concept in check-in that you can actually close down a location and that's what this active field here is going to be. Looking at other fields that would be relevant to check-in, threshold is gonna allow you to give you a max number of kids that you want to have in this in this room. Now there's another one down here called threshold absolute and the threshold is basically gonna stop people from being able to check-in at that point. But you could do a manager override of of the threshold.
The threshold absolute says that is the absolute, max number of kids we can have in this room and that's even gonna apply to manager overrides. So these are the the various settings that you'll need to set up for each location, each room, that you want people to be able to check-in to. So that'd be the first step in configuring check-in is getting all your locations set.
