Rock U - Reporting - Reports - Post Filter Transformation

Okay. So let's look at a concept called post filter transformations and this is a feature of data views. So let's say we have a data view and it does a lot of filtration logic and basically it's returning back a set of adults. What you can do with the post filter transformation is you can have those adults kind of go through the transformation and come out the other side as kids. Okay. So in this case, we're sending Ted and Cindy Decker in and we're gonna get their children out. Okay. This is a very powerful way and it's actually really simple way of converting adults into children because a lot of times you want the filters to be on adults in your data view but you actually want the results to be children or vice versa. , maybe it's some kind of attendance or an attribute on a child, but you really wanna get the parent of the child. And this is what allows you to do that. Okay? So and that is simply a setting on the data view. And so here you can do the post fence post filter transformation here of children and parents. In future versions of Rock, there'll be additional post filter transformations. But right now, I mean, the really the key one is is basically converting, parents to children and children to parents.
