If you're an administrator or otherwise have tagging rights, you can add security to your tags. Let's take a look at how to do this. So here we are at the Rock RMS main screen. Tags are located under the people menu under tags. So select the tag you want to secure. In this case, we're going to choose the staff tag. And you'll see over here on the right, there's a padlock button. Click the padlock button and Rock takes you to the secure group screen. And this shows you your current security permissions for viewing, tagging, editing, and administering the tags. And you can add roles and users from here. Now some administrative tasks related to tags, such as deleting them, requires you to make changes at the entity level. And tags are an entity, so you will find them under the admin tools menu, under security, under entity administration. You can use the filter options to locate the tag entity, and then click the padlock button, and Rock will bring up the tag security screen. And here you can add roles and users as well, and you can also modify the permissions for viewing, tagging, editing, and administering the tags at the entity level. Now out of the box, staff and staff access roles have access to view, edit, and delete tags, but you should set the tag entity security according to your organization's needs.
