The phone number lookup block is used in a couple different places, and it's a mobile friendly way for Rock to be able to identify or authenticate, who a person is accessing Rock from a mobile device. So in this video, we're just gonna give you a brief overview of a little bit about how it works and what it looks . And then in the later videos, we'll dive into some more detail. Think of the phone number lookup block a login page. Its purpose is to identify the person in the Rock record who is in possession of the mobile device that's associated with the phone number that they provide. There are some key differences, but a login page, the phone number lookup block can be used in different places in Rock to access secured content or content that requires Rock to know who the person is. The phone number lookup block is integrated with mobile check-in and attendance self entry out of the box, and we plan to add more areas in the future. But don't think of it as just being limited to mobile check-in and attendance self entry features because that's where you'll see it the most, but it can be used in other places. Probably the most important part of the configuration is the authentication level. The authentication level that you set determines what level of access the person has after using the phone number lookup feature. We're gonna talk all about this in the phone number lookup configuration video, so be sure and watch that for the details. The other thing we wanna mention here is that you do need some prerequisite set up. So maybe before you get started, you'll need to make sure that you have SMS messaging set up in Rock in order for the phone number lookup to work because the person gets an SMS text message that you'll send out of Rock. A little later, we'll also have a video on what the people using it can expect to experience. They will probably be accessing it from mobile check-in or attendant self entry processes that. The first thing that they'll need to do is provide the phone number associated with the device that they're using. And once we've confirmed the record in Rock with the provided phone number, and after the person has confirmed that they're in possession of the device with that phone number, they can identify themselves. So depending on how they arrived at the phone number lookup block, they'll be taken right back to wherever it is that they started the process, however they got to it in the first place. And again, we'll dive deeper into the details of all the screens that a person will see and experience when they're using the, phone number lookup in the using phone number lookup video. In the next two videos, we'll go into a lot more detail on setting it up and the actual process that a person will go through when they're using the block.
