Rock U - Prayer - Prayer Requests

Okay. So let's talk about the prayer request features within Rock. And I'm gonna show you the different areas that you can enter prayer requests and then how to administrate those prayer requests once entered. Now, one of the main places that you would enter prayer requests is that they come in off of your website. So, in our example external website under connect prayer, it allows you to enter quickly, a prayer request. Now, prayer requests don't have to be tied necessarily to a person's record. They can just have a first name, last name, and email address and we'll create that record. Since I'm already logged in though, it's gone ahead and put that information in for me. So we'll enter a quick per request here. Okay. And we'll hit save request. Okay. Now at that point, the per request has been entered into the system and they can choose to add another if they'd . Now before we go in and look at how we administrate that or how do we add per request from the inside, I just wanna point out to you a few block settings on this block that we just did. Because it's important as you set up your prayer ministry that you understand some of these, features. First of all, we can configure what categories we wanna make available out here on the public site. It's possible to have several different categories that are displayed in different areas depending on which prayer request block you're using. Also, can choose whether the prayer request should be auto approved or not, how long they're out there before they expire, whether comments are allowed, whether there's urgent flags, and all kinds of character limits, and different settings that you might want to have out on your, entry. You can also, change the success text when you add a prayer request to say something different. And one other quick, setting that you really should know about is you can optionally have a workflow kickoff every time a prayer request is entered from the external site. And And this allows you to kind of look through the prayer request, maybe check the category that they picked and it may be that you want to take immediate action based on that. So for instance, some churches may look at a hospitalization category and they'll direct that immediately via email or text to a specific person just to make sure that there's nothing that needs to be followed up immediately. Okay. So those are some of the block settings, to that block we just used. Now, if I come into the inside of Rock, there's other places that you can add prayer requests and administrate them. And since prayer has to do with people, you'll find that under people prayer. Now, before we go administrate, let's just check how we do a prayer request on the inside. Now, this is basically the same block, it just has different configuration. And here, I can choose who the requester was or I can choose maybe not to tie it to a record in Rock. I'm just gonna enter in the name. So if I wanna just type in their name, pick the category. And again, since I'm on the inside I have a lot more options in here of what I'm gonna be doing with this prayer request. I'm just gonna hit save. Okay. So now let's go over and administrate prayer requests. So I click on prayer requests. I'll see the two prayer requests I entered. Now out here I can quickly and easily approve and and, or not approve these prayer requests just from the list. Okay? I don't have to keep going into the detail block just to do that. But I do want to come in here and go ahead and look at these requests. And so this one's okay. And the blocks that we are using auto approve that, so I don't need to approve it. But in some cases, you'll read a request and you might wanna choose and maybe take off last names. And so you can come in here and you can actually edit the request by either putting, , x's where the name was or some people just take the the last name out completely. Okay. So that's kind of your role in here as, administrator. Now once these prayer requests get entered, do note that there is some capability on your external website to have a prayer team. So they can come in here and they have rights to this prayer team. They can come in here and do an online prayer session. So they can pick all the categories that they want to pray for and they're gonna get one prayer request at a time. And again, this this is styled with our Stark theme, so it's meant to be styled for your website. They can do one prayer request at a time, and they can even enter comments. And again, you can configure whether commenting is enabled or disabled. But you just keep going through each prayer request. You pray for the request, keep hitting next. And these prayers are all being counted, so we know how many prayer request how many prayers are being done for each request. And now that when I come back inside to the internal site, I can go under prayer comments and see the comments that we have entered. And this is again another good, thing that we'll be looking at because you wanna be making sure that these comments, are all good and don't need any coaching. But this is the prayer request system within Rock and, feel free to use that. And it's also documented in the manuals, so there's a whole manual just on this feature.
