Rock U - Groups - Alternate Placements
Transcribed Video Content
Moving someone out of a group should never mean losing them entirely. This alternate placements feature gives leaders a button that will remove someone from a group, launch a workflow, add a note explaining why, and just make this whole process easier so that no one gets lost in the mix. Here's how to set an alternate placement for someone. So head to a group in the group viewer, and let's just pick one of these small groups. And it's pretty easy.
We'll just click on a group member, let's say Jack Harper, then you'll see this little icon here. If we click it, we'll get this pop up and it says destination group. So we can pick a destination group. And one way that you can make your workflow easier is you could pick something a section and place someone as a group member in this section, and you could have a workflow that launches when someone goes to that section so that someone on your team can place someone in a better group. This is something you can do with serving teams as well.
Or if exactly where you want to move them, you can just pick the destination group, select a role. You can even fill out, you can move notes, and these are notes on the group member to that new destination, and it's easy. So he's going to Pete's group. And now when we go back to the group viewer, we will go to this section, look at Pete's group, and you will see that we have him here. Alternate placements turn an awkward removal into a clean handoff.
Leaders record the reason why, it gets handed to a workflow, and then everything moves in the right direction.
