Kiosk check-in works great for large gatherings, but there are some smaller gatherings where it's really just not practical to have one. For example, if you're meeting in a home, you're probably gonna wanna use attendance self entry. Let's get into how to track attendance on your own right now. We're looking at the attendance self entry block on the external website. I'll step through some of the block settings in a moment, but we're gonna look at this as if we were an attendee. So let's pretend we are checking in ourselves. We'll just pretend we're John Doe for the moment and we'll skip these fields that aren't required, but you can pick which fields show up here for the most part. Say next. So that's our first attendee and we aren't in the system yet, so, a thing we can do from here is we can add more individuals and you can pick their relation to the first person. So let's say Jane Doe is the spouse and we'll click next again. Then it's gonna ask if we want to create an account. For now, let's just say no. We'll click next, skip that. But this is a great way to get people to add their login to your site or to create an account. Okay. And we've skipped that step. Now we're actually on the page where we're gonna mark our attendance. So right now we can pick who we want to say attended this service and you can even adjust remembered watchers from here, meaning we'd go back and adjust some information that we have on different people so we could add a child if we wanted just to show you how we can easily go back. But we're back here and we're gonna check-in the entire Doe family. Once you click check-in, that's the end of it. But now I'm back to the admin view. So let's look at what this actual block looks . You can click block configuration, then we can click on the block properties. And there's quite a few things. I'll cover some of the important settings. We have the name of the block here. We can pick the location that we want people to to be able to track their attendance for. Then very important, you wanna pick the right check-in configuration because you don't want the attendees to have to make many choices here so that there's less errors, then you can do all these different things show address, birthday, phone number, and require pick whether you wanna require certain form fields, for example. Then you can pick which known relationship types you want to, include in the relation drop down, which we saw out of the box, there were some things spouse or child. You can pick the redirect URL that the individual go to after check-in so that you can continue in the process if there's more you want them to see from there. You can also pick what you want the check-in button text to be or what workflow you want to run after this check-in and there's all sorts of special things you can do with that. Then something important to note is for, individuals younger than 14, you may want to hide those individuals and that's just for safety purposes because there are some laws involved with asking for the phone number, for example, of individuals under a certain age. So you'll just wanna look at your local restrictions on that and see whether you're interested in hiding those individuals or you can even hide individuals in a grade less than a certain grade if you wanna do that instead. Then you can pick the attendance type here whether this is physical or virtual. This is virtual that we've been simulating here. Then what's really nice is there were a series of messages we saw during that process. You can tailor those to look your organization. So you can pick the wording that makes sense and you can, just customize all the text that's shown from the panel titles to the intro, body text, and more. When you're done, you just click save. And one last thing I wanna note is once an individual's checked in, then they won't need to go through that process where they put all their information in for attendance. The system will just recognize them. You'll be able to easily select your people that you wanna check-in, then click check-in. Great. Now self entry is live. It's a great alternate option for you. When it's not practical to have a big kiosk, you can simply do attendance from anywhere. Thanks for watching this video and have a great day.
