Every event that your church runs probably starts on a calendar, and Rock makes it easy for you to connect events to even potentially multiple calendars and set them up for your needs. So let's get into how calendars are structured right now. So this is the external view for the calendar. And something to note about this is you can really change it to look however you want, because if you come here, you'll notice that these are all just lava. So there's so many different ways you can filter and you can have your own lava template. So you can make this look exactly what makes sense for your organization. We have a nice little area here to click around the calendar. Then you can filter the time that you want to view this calendar by. In this case, we're looking at a week, and you can see details on different calendar events that are available right now. So let's click into one of them by clicking view details and we get a bit of info. All of this can be customized internally. We'll have another video where we walk you through how to do that. Then tied to this calendar event, we have an event registration. That's really nice. It's a nice way to link things together in Rock and make it simple to get signed up for things. We can see all the occurrences coming up. If we wanna register, it's easy to click register. You can also completely customize this as well to make it look your organization. Now let's talk about the structure of a calendar. So this is what it looks , and it's structured after how churches really use calendars. And you'll note we have the public and the internal calendar. You can add more, that's just what comes out of the box. And you can secure them so only certain people can see them, or you can extend these calendars and use them for different ministries. You could make a youth calendar. There's so many different things you could do. And you'll notice there's two linkages to an event because an event can be tied to multiple calendars, meaning there's a lot of flexibility. Then an event is sort of a template and you can pick things that you want to be true across all of your event occurrences. You can see there are three event occurrences listed here on different dates. And that's because often an organization will have an event with a certain structure, but there will be different occurrences of that event and details may change across occurrences. So to make it easier, we have events where you set kind of the rules for what an event will look , then occurrences, and you can even have a schedule saying how often events reoccur, for example, or you can manually create some on different dates. You can be really flexible with what these events look . Calendars are the backbone of events in Rock. So set this up thoughtfully and every time we go to add a new event or a new public listing, it will fall right into place.
