Editors want the site fresh and designers want the content looking good. Now a content component marries the HTML block and the content channel block, allowing you to set a template once to make your items look nice. And from then on, staff can easily update the block so that your site stays fresh and dynamic. So right now I'm on the external site and I've got the content component block here. Now once you get this added, it's pretty simple to get it set up. The first thing you'll see is this configure icon here. You won't see this edit icon at first because you have to configure. So we'll pick a component name, we'll select whether multiple content items should be available to you, if you can add multiple, and that's because this is a content channel under the hood. But we can also pick how we want caching to work, and that just tells the browser how long they should store the information on this page, making it easier and faster next time you load this page. We also have some content component templates that come out of the box. There's three. You can also make your own. I'll cover in a moment what that looks and how you can edit these templates. You can also select the title size between heading one, which is the biggest, heading five, which is the smallest. Then we can select the foreground color, in this case, the title and the content here are showing the foreground color, which is white. You can also change the background. Then you can filter what shows up here based on, some content channel item fields, and you can also add pre and post HTML to do a bit more styling. But we'll save this. You can see the content shows up here and there's another content item here, but we don't have a an image behind it, so you can't see it very easily. But now when we go to edit, you'll see that settings button. This is where we actually add content. So it's super easy. We can click this plus button and we can add a title and content. Super simple to update and you can actually use code or you can use this simple editor where it's really easy to do things add images, do a lot of formatting and more. I'll add an image, then we can save this item. You can also reorder them if you want. But now when we come out here, you can see that that that content actually shows up. Now also if we want, we can go back to configure. We can pick a different template such as card and save, and the content shows up differently. And, of course, we'd wanna pick a different foreground color here because things are showing up on a white background. Now I'll show you how you can edit those templates or add more if you'd . From the internal homepage, go to admin tools, settings, and you will look for content component templates. If we select here, you'll see those three simple templates. And if you click in, you'll notice it's really, really simple how it's set up just a value description. It's active, so it's selectable. And we have display Lava here. If you're not familiar with Lava or, styling HTML CSS, then I would suggest that you connect with a web developer that can help you with this. But if you wanna make a couple small changes, it's easy to just copy what you have here, duplicate this value, and you can have your own content component template. It's easy to have really custom things that look great and it makes it easy for staff to go and add new content that matches your organization. Content components give your editors an easy front door to add new content and it gives you a fresh layout. Remember, you can build this layout once and reuse it again and again.
