You can utilize groups in Rock even better using a couple different jobs, blocks, and more. So let's get into what those are so that you can use groups to their max. So we're gonna cover a range of ways you can extend groups all the way from blocks to jobs. But first of all is very important block, the group viewer. Now you might think you will only end up having it in one place, but it's nice to have multiple of these because you can go into the block properties and pick which group types show up. You can pick what displays, what the root group is, and you can get really specific about what's shown So it's always easy for you to find your group hierarchy. Next, we have a group list, and you can access this in many different places. But using the group list is a nice way to filter the groups you see and take quick action. Then the group member detail, this is also something you'll see in many places, and it's a great block that you'll probably end up dealing with. Another great one is the groups list, Lava. So here's an example. We can get really specific about what kind of groups are shown. In this case, Alicia can see all the groups she's a part of. We also have the group detail lava, and we're showing lots of important details here. This is so that in the group toolbox, Alicia can see the members in her group and do things take attendance even. It's just a really nice view. The group type map, this is a block you can add, and you can simply select a group type. If you have maps set up, you'll be able to see where all of those groups and the group type fall on a map. Now this is a very special one, and it's our group finder. This can be really customized to help attendees find the exact group they need. And there's so many ways you can configure it, with a map or, you can see just a list of cards and more, but it's easy to find and enroll yourself in a group. Then group registration. So actually, if we were here and we looked for a group, we selected one, and we clicked register, then we would be able to see the group registration here. This can also be customized and used extensively. Then the attendance list, I'll actually show you this somewhere else, but the group attendance detail, here you go, is a way that from the group toolbox, for example, someone can go and for groups that they have security for, they can select people that attended and it's easy to mark who's present. So another great way to extend groups. Now jobs. So jobs are important. A lot of these run without you knowing about them on a schedule, but it's nice to know some of the important ones for groups such as calculating group requirements if that happens often. There's a couple other ways to run it manually, but you can come here to run the job again. You can also process group history. You can use group sync to sync people in groups that are using data views to populate the groups. You can send attendance reminders for a group type, especially if there's a small group, for example, you need to remind them remind leaders about entering attendance. You can send group attendance reminders, for the group meeting, and this might run multiple times a day. So, generally, you don't need to go do this. Then send group schedule notifications. This is a way to send group scheduling confirmation and reminder emails to people that haven't been notified.
