To make sure we have a good foundation built for finances in Rock, let's look into the defined types we have for things currency types or transaction sources and much more. To see our financial settings, we're actually gonna head to define types. So go to admin tools then settings, start typing in define types, and once you get there, we'll filter by the financial category and here you go. So there's a long list of different defined types here. It's a way that in Rock you can define something once and use it in many places.
And these types feed a lot of different finance features. So if you've been looking through your finances and you've been using Rock for finances, maybe you're ready to change some of these settings as you recognize something we have a new credit card type that we want to track. You can easily add that here and the defined types are already set up well so that you can understand what you need as you add a new item such as in this case for a credit card type, we add a regular expression pattern, batch name suffix and more. And these come out of the box with Rock. So we'll head back and there's all sorts of things.
We're not gonna step through them here now, but just keep these in mind as you are working through understanding finances in Rock. And you'll know, oh, if I need to change an account type or add a new one, I can easily do that by coming to the account types to find type. You can add currency codes, currency types, refund reasons, transaction source, transaction types, and more. Spending a little bit of time to make sure that your defined types are all set up We'll make sure your foundation for finances is good, and you are ready to track finances in Rock.
