Thousands of transactions hold answers to questions that your leadership is asking. Giving analytics turn that raw data into easily filtered and sliced up information that you can take action on so you can answer those questions. To find the giving analytics page, go to finance and then down to giving analytics under administration. And you'll notice when you load it up, there's no information yet. And that's actually a helpful thing because each time you load this up, it'll take a second for the information to populate as we're getting lots and lots of data here. So we wanna make sure we're not loading up a chart that makes no sense to you that you didn't need. Instead, make sure you get all of your filters right first, then click update and you'll get the information that you want. And something I wanna note first is we have documentation up here to make it easier to understand the sliding date ranges and more for these filters. But we're gonna look at a simple filtered view here. We'll just pick the current year and we'll leave all currency types on. Actually, let's just do check, cash, credit card, ACH. Then you can even pick transaction sources you want, accounts and more. Then there's advanced options if you want to pick total amounts to show or even limit by a day to view of people that you've set up. And it's pretty easy to do here. We actually have some out of the box such as givers over 300. You can say a lot more such as which available accounts only tax deductible. And let's leave that out for now though remembering you can even do transaction types. Those are a defined type that you set up. So it's really easy to get the exact giving that we wanna see. We've got some filters. Let's click update. There we go. We just got a chart that really lets us know what our givings look for these different currency types in the past year. And that's broken down by week right now, but maybe we don't wanna see by week. Maybe it's more helpful to see by month as that's a view that helps us understand our giving better. You can easily do that. And if you wanna get really specific data, you can actually show the data here getting all the things that are plotted. Then you can even export that to Excel or turn it into a merge template. Then you can graph by account, changing what's plotted here by campus, make it super easy. We have all our giving at just one campus here so nothing really shows up. And that's it for the chart analytics. If we wanna switch to showing people, we can click details and let's change this up a little bit. Let's say we only wanna show general funds accounts and you can even pick whether you wanna show first time givers or a specific pattern gave at least three times in the selected date range and did not give between these times. So you can really really get a specific report here. We'll just say All Givers and we've got the list here. We can see important things the general funds, the total they gave, the number of gifts, whether it was their first gift, and that's just a checkbox, first gift in this period, all that. You can sort this pretty easily. Then you can even communicate to these people. You can merge person records, do bulk updates on them, export this info to Excel, and a lot more helpful stuff. Now, if we wanna get more specific about who we're showing, we could do something clicking adults and what we get back here is a list of actual adults that gave. You could pick children and instead we'd see the children of adults in a family that gave or you can even pick family and see all the people in families that were giving because we can track giving by family. And you can see even Alex Decker who's a child of Ted Decker is shown here even though Ted is the one that was giving. So that's a really nice way to see the actual people that gave and you may be wondering, do I have to set this up every single time I show up to this block? And the answer is no. Once you've got a filter that you , you can easily copy it to your clipboard. That'll give you a URL that you can bookmark. Then every time you pull up giving analytics with this URL, you have the exact list of filters that you were just using, making everything easier for you. And if you wanna make certain defaults easier as well, as an administrator, you can change the block settings to automatically set certain filters. Giving analytics helps you turn those questions into answers with structured data so you don't have to export to a spreadsheet. Instead, you have exactly what you need at a glance.
