Delegating a whole branch of groups shouldn't mean handing over full admin access. Using the group administrator role, you can give a trusted person access to a group and its child groups. So adding a group administrator is easy and we start at the group type level. So head to admin tools, up to settings, we'll look for group types, and I'm going to look for my serving team group type here. Then all we need to do is select enable group administrator, and we can actually pick if we wanna have a different name for what this is called. That's done under display options. So we can go to administrator term. I'll call this the serving teams coordinator. Then we'll go ahead and save this group type. Now we're going to go to a group under people group viewer that has the serving teams group type. So let's just go to greeters and we will click edit. Then if we scroll down, we'll see groups serving teams coordinator, and that's our custom name. This is our administrator. We'll just make it Ted Decker, and we'll go ahead and save. Now when we refresh here, you'll be able to see that we have the group serving teams coordinator marked as Ted Decker. We can easily go to his profile, and it's a great way to give someone responsibility for something a group and exactly who your point of contact is now. Group administrators let you delegate real control without handing over the keys to Rock. So hand this to a trusted person and there's some work off your plate and you can be confident they only have access to what they need to see.
