The internal staff page greets every staff member at every login. And out of the box, it's just a starting point. People in our community have customized these pages in so many different ways. So think about what you want a staff member to see when they log in and let's start building out this page. Okay. It's easy to update this homepage in Rock. And we have a block here called the internal communication view, and it's simply showing off things a content channel and some metrics and more. I'm gonna show you how we can update this content channel easily. So if we go to tools, then down to content and make sure to click into the content channel that you have linked on that block. We'll just click plus to add a new item, and we can call this one quick update. We can give it an active date of today, which will happen by default or maybe a day in the future even. Then let's pick a feature image, and this image that we added is going to be that big one you saw up top. And we can call the featured title just quick update, add some text , see what's going on in our organization. We can add a link as well if we want clicking on this to take you somewhere, then you must add an article. That's pretty important. So we'll click to add one. I'm gonna add an image here. And this is a different image that will show up on the article. You don't need to add one, but it's helpful. And we'll just call this gathering at Alicia's. Come meet this next week for a staff gathering at Alicia's. Simple update on what's going on. It would be nice to add an article link here, but we'll just say add, and we've got this article added to our, item, this content channel item. We'll click save, then we're gonna go back to the home page, and you'll notice we still have this image showing up here, but all we need to do is actually, we want to clear the cache if we want this to go away because this item is cached and that means that we'll keep the image and everything just for performance purposes. But if we clear the cache or if we go into the settings for this block and we scroll down and make sure the cache duration is zero, we'll have that new article pop up, and you can see we've got that new image. It says quick update, then we have that article down here showing the gathering at Alicia's. So it's really easy to update this homepage and let people in your organization know what's important. A well built internal homepage sets the tone for what is important for your staff members, and it's a really nice way to get people information faster. Just remember to keep it lean and only put important things on this page, but now it's time to think about how you can start building this page for yourself.
