Online giving is one of the highest impact things you can do in Rock. When you make it simple for people to give, there will be less friction and more giving. Now we wanna make it super easy in Rock for you to set it up, allow people to give through your site and other methods, and easily track the giving that you receive. Let's look at how to set this up in Rock right now. Giving in Rock has been done really thoughtfully and here are some examples of blocks that we have on the external site that you can use to process giving. Right now we're looking at the give now block. This is one you'll use pretty commonly if you want to process simple gifts. You can have your attendees pick the frequency they're using. They can add accounts or they can pick accounts that they wanna give to, which campus, and you can pick to give us a person or a business. You can set up payment methods and handle CAPTCHA all from one place. Also looking at the block settings on this, you can pick which gateway you wanna use. I'll talk more about gateways in a moment. You can do all kinds of other things in terms of configuration too, such as picking which campuses are available, if people can use multiple accounts, the layout style, and you can even pick things connection status, record status, record source that this comes from. And you can be really specific about what kind of information pops up here such as what do they get, in the header or the footer upon confirmation of your gift, and you can really make this block look your brand. Now moving on, for people that have given before, they can also come here to look at their giving history. That can be really helpful if they wanna see how they've given in the past and that you can even pull up your contribution statement. You can also manage your giving profiles so you can create gifts and pick the frequency, and you can pick how often. If you're doing an automated giving program, this is where an attendee would do that. You can also pick to create a pledge over a date range such as I'll give this amount over this period of time. So you can be really flexible with how people get the opportunity to be generous. They can also handle their payment accounts from here and you can also set up text to give. Now moving on, we're looking at the financial gateway settings. So to get here from the home page, we just went to admin tools, settings, then started typing in gateways and pulled up financial gateways. Now you can add a new gateway here. You pick a name for it and make sure that you have the right gateway type set up, and you can pick how often your transactions from this gateway are batched. Now, on the gateway that you choose, they generally have really good documentation on their site for how to set it up. And the process for picking a gateway is something that you'll wanna be pretty intentional about. Now this is an example of what a gateway does in Rock. So someone comes to give on your website, usually from the place that I just showed you. And once they give, their information is sent to the payment gateway, and it's up to the gateway to handle things compliance, saving your account, storing information. And they're the ones that are in charge of the fee that's charged for giving. So you'll wanna be intentional about which payment gateway that you pick as that's a trade off that can come. Then the payment gateway sends this information to the payment processor. The payment processor then goes to the guest credit card company, and then this financial gift is sent to the merchant account and then to your bank. Now I mentioned that you'll wanna be intentional about how you pick your financial gateway.
