Rock U - Event & Calendar - Payment Plans
Transcribed Video Content
A big camp fee is easier to say yes to when you don't need to pay it all at once. So using scheduled transactions, you can pick a frequency and a due date and people can split their large payment into some smaller ones and you can get more people signing up. So if you wanna change your payment plan as an attendee, all you need to do is click into your account. And if you scroll down past assessments and the family, you can see recent registrations actually. And we know here that there's more payment to be made so we can click into it.
Now we're actually back at the registration. There are some things that we have access to change such as we can see all the amounts we had and the payment plan, and we can delete it and restart from scratch. If we wanna change what that plan looks , just keep in mind the payment deadline is still the same as it was before most likely. So you'll be paying on a shorter schedule if you're going to change this later. Now we're back at the Rock homepage and here's some settings for payment plans.
First of all, we're gonna see how we can change someone's payment plan internally. So we'll go to tools, then event registration, and we'll click on the instance that we just signed up for. We can see Ted Decker here and the balance due is in yellow and there's a little calendar icon, meaning that this is a payment plan. So if we click into this, we can actually see the payment plan shown here. We can see a history of payments when the next payment date is.
And if we want to, it's really easy to click change here and we can pick the frequency that we want and the number of payments, start date, all of those things. So it's easy for us to change internally. Now, if we want to actually pick what the deadline is for this plan, then we'll go back to the instance, click edit. And something to note is the payment deadline here that you use will be the last date that someone can have all their payments in by. So that will basically change how long you have for a payment plan to complete and the frequency that it will take.
So for example, if we made this deadline way more soon, then you couldn't do ten weeks of payments, you'd only be able to do a couple weeks. Now, the most important setup for payment plans is if you go to the actual template and you go to edit it, then you go down and we will actually go to details, then scroll down and set cost on. So you can pick whether the cost is set on an instance or a template. There's quite a bit of configuration here. But for payment plans, you'll want to make sure enable payment plans is on, then you can pick the frequencies that are available to the attendees.
If you want them all to be available, you can just deselect, meaning all are selected. Then you can pick also whether you want to require full payment or payment plan. That means that for someone to proceed and finish a registration, they either have to make the entire payment or they have to commit to a payment plan. Now, when you're done with that, all you need to do, scroll down, click save, and for your next registration, you will be able to use payment plans. Payment plans lower the barrier on your biggest events.
Use these when you want to make it easier for people to pay in installments rather than all at once.
