Rock U - Check-In - Rapid Attendance Entry

Transcribed Video Content

Check-in with kiosks is great, but it's mostly beneficial for large gatherings. There are some small gatherings that your organization might have where it's really just not practical to use kiosks and the typical check-in methods. Rapid attendance entry allows you to pick who's there and who's not from a big list of people making smaller gatherings a lot easier. Let's look into how to track this in Rock and how to set it up right now. To find the rapid attendance entry block, you're gonna head over to people, then you're going to go down to rapid attendance entry, and you'll always start the same way. You'll pick a campus, then you'll pick a group from there. So I'm gonna pick the AV team and let's say I want this booth and I want this schedule because we wanna be really specific about what we're tracking attendance for, then we're picking an attendance date here. Let's start the entry. Then from here, you'll just look for people, and I've added Ted Decker. Now Ted Decker is a part of this group, and we can see different people here Cindy, Noah, Ted, Maddie, Lowe. These are people that are in the Decker family or they have a can check-in relationship with Ted Decker. And it's really easy to take action from here. I can pick which people I wanna take attendance for. Let's say Cindy and Ted were at the AV team at this time, and we can see people's details here. I can see Ted Decker's information. I can even edit some of his info, and I can pick some workflows that I'm interested in running from here. I can add a note for Ted Decker and even a prayer request just straight from this block. So there's so many different things you can do and I'll show you how to enable things workflows, notes, and more on this block. Those are all block settings, which I'll cover. And then you can view the attendance list if you wanna see the people that are attending, for this setup already. You can also easily add a person to the family or edit the family up here. So super quick and easy to take action, then you can change some things on the notes. So we can say, great week at the AV booth, and that note will be added for Ted Decker. And let's just save. Now that's been saved. And it says changes saved successfully. If we were to go to the attendance list, we'd see this. But let's edit the settings on this block. If you come to block configuration and then click block settings, There are some different things you can pick the add family page, attendance list page that you're routed to when you click on either of those buttons. You can pick whether attendance is even enabled on this block, and that's important because you might wanna use this block just for things adding prayer requests, launching workflows, and more. You can pick the parent group that you wanna choose so that when you're starting off with attendance, the only groups to pick from are under a parent group, or you can even do an attendance group and it just locks the block to that group. Then you can show can check-in relationships Maddie Lowe is shown here. You're required to pick a minimum attendance age, and this gates off the age at which you can't track attendance under. So that's why some of those people in the family were shown as blank. Their checkboxes were muted out. You can show the campus filter, pick which campus types and statuses are available. You can even pick the connection opportunities list title, and you can have connection types available so that you can straight up add a connection for this person. I'll show you that in a moment. Then we actually have some lava and some HTML that you can use to pick what different things look on this block, such as the family header template, individual header if you wanna change things that are shown, you have full customization and there you can pick which attributes show up and which child person attributes show up, then the note types that you want to be able to add notes for, whether prayer requests can be logged here. Then you can pick the workflows that you want to have available to be selected for this people, these people, or this person, and you can name the workflow list title as well. So we'll click save. I'm gonna go back to where we were. So I'll start our entry and we'll click on Ted. Then again, you can see these are muted because we have a minimum check-in age of 18. But something new here is we can pick connection opportunities to add this person to right away, which is really nice. So there's so many quick actions you can take from the rapid attendance entry block. Great. Now you have check-in records in Rock without having to use a kiosk. And remember to keep this as a tool you can use alongside your regular check-in whenever you need a lighter weight option. Thank you for watching this video and have a great day.
