T shirts, meals, lodging options. Often an event registration will have more than just a base fee. We'll show you how to add these additional fees and make sure that registrants can pay for everything at once. So let's look at how those fees are structured and then what it looks in a registration. So there's four different fee types essentially, and this will depend on the settings that you pick for fees on a registration template. I'll show you what that means in a moment. But you can have just a single option where people can pick whether or not they want that one option available to them. You can have a single option with quantity, so you can pick how many shirts you want, for example, in this case, and that will up the fee you're paying of course. Then you can have multiple options and that's if there's multiple different t shirt sizes, for example, then you could also have multiple different options and you can pick how many you want for each different option. So it will depend on the fee you're charging, of course. Now we're at an actual template here, so we just went to tools, event registration, and we picked the template that we want. Now if you scroll down here, there's a section that's called fees. Now for the summer camp template, we already have a fee set up here, and we'll click edit on it so you can see how it looks. You simply name it. You can pick whether you want a single option or multiple. And if you click multiple, then you can click this plus button here to add more options. Then you can also say how much you have in stock for each of these things. So for shirts, for example, if you only have five of each different size, you can make that clear here. And now we'll move on to the settings that change the look and how the fee acts. So if you enable quantity, then you would allow someone to pick multiple of one option. So I'm gonna enable that. And you can also pick is required. Now is required will change the way this functions depending on whether you have single, one single option, or multiple. If you have a single option, then Rock will just hard code that option. It'll immediately get picked for you. Say we only have a small shirt available, then Rock will immediately pick that shirt option for you. Then if you have multiple and you have is required, then Rock will require you as you're going through the registration process to make sure that you've picked the right size so that you can move on. Then you can pick whether a discount applies and that's if you have a discount code that's by percentage, for example. Would you want 50% off this fee if you had a 50% overall registration discount? Then you can pick whether an option is hidden when none is remaining, and we can also pick whether this fee is active for the template. Let's actually deselect that enable quantity. We'll click save here. And let's move on to an actual registration so you can see what this looks . So I'm signed in as Alicia, we'll register one person. We'll just click through some of this here. And let's say that we're registering for Bill Marble. He obviously wouldn't go to this summer camp, but we'll just pretend here. Now if we come down here, this is the actual fee that we've set up that camp shirt. And you can see we have those multiple options available. So it's required because we have required selected. If we were to pick one of these and just move on with the registration, and I'll speed through this. Now we're at the end and we can actually see the fee that we picked earlier. And just to show you something else, if we apply discount code, it will apply to the full balance, but not this fee here because I didn't select the option to apply the discount to our fee. And we could go through this process, make a payment, and we'll pretend we have a card here. We'll pay. And when we're done with this, you'll see that that actual fee we selected and that we set up for has been paid and it's a part of our balance. Fees let a single registration capture every additional fee that's needed. You can add them at the template level and it will be inherited by every registration under it.
