Rock U - Event & Calendar - Registration Walk-through

You can't build a great registration until you see it the way that your registrants do. We'll step through the parts from entering your information, your details, and then making a payment and completing your registration so exactly what it looks for your registrant to sign up for something. Let's step through a registration as TED, and we'll register three people here. Click next, and we have this attribute pop up here that we've configured to show up at the beginning of a registration. This is something custom we've added. And we'll select the value, move on, and now we'll start talking about the family concept. We're doing a family registration here, and we can pick in the settings whether you're asked if someone is in the same family as you or not. There's a lot of configuration you can do to make sure that a registration is done properly and who is associated with who. But this person we're about to add, Maddie Lowe, is not in the same family as Ted. So we're gonna leave this unchecked, And I'm just gonna click through adding some values for Maddie here. We have a camp shirt here that has a fee associated with it and some other attributes that we've added, but I'm gonna speed through these registrations. And now we actually have a signed release to do here. So I've signed that for Maddie. I'll get an email about that. And now we're gonna register for Alex Decker, who is in Ted's family, Ted's daughter. So this time we'll pick Ted Decker. Now we're onto the third registrant, and this person is Noah Decker, who's the brother of Alex Decker. So we'll say Noah is in the same immediate family as Alex Decker. Great. And now we've got them all signed up, and we can see here this registration was completed by Ted Decker. Should my account be updated to use this, this email address? And then we can actually see the cost associated with this. And if you have a discount code, you can enter that. So just got a 50% discount because of the staff discount code, and you can pick how much to pay today. There's so many different settings you can set up for registration, but we'll just complete this here. Click next. And we're asked to add some information here so we can add our actual visa here or a different card. You can save a payment method, but we'll skip past this. Alright. And at the end here, we've gotten a breakdown of the people that we registered and how much those additional fees are, the discounted cost, and a lot more helpful stuff, how much balance we have left due. And, we also are told that we've gotten a confirmation email, and I'll show you what that is. We can also save our account information if we wanna make easier future payments. Okay. And just some validation for what we just did. We can see on the registration list internally for summer camp twenty twenty seven that Ted has three registrants, those ones that we signed up. Now moving on, we can also see in Ted Decker's communication history that we got a summer camp twenty twenty seven reminder. We also got a summer camp twenty twenty seven confirmation. And if we look into these messages, we can see on this confirmation, first of all, that we get some helpful info outlining what we just did, which is, signing up these three people. Then we had a discounted cost. We can see all that information we got earlier, and this is what actually goes to the person who did the registration for confirmation. Then also the reminder, this will come later on, and this lets who you registered, just a reminder when the event's happening. You can add more details here. And if someone hasn't paid, they'll get a link here to pay as well, making it easier to keep people accountable to paying those fees on a registration. Walking the registration path gives you the experience behind every setting. Keep this in mind as you build your own.
