Rock U - Content Management - Rock Media Analytics
Transcribed Video Content
Publishing media is the easy part, but knowing whether people actually engaged with it is just as important. This is how we can use Rock Media Analytics to see things who watched a video, how long did they watch, and how are people engaging with your media so that what's worth posting. So to see the media analytics, head to admin tools and then go to media accounts. And I've got one set up here. It's simply a local media account and we have some videos here.
You'll just wanna make sure you have any sort of account set up. You may have one that you used a plugin for to pull from Vimeo, for example. But we've added some videos and something you'll notice is this video, we can see it has a watch count of five, and we have the duration set. It's important when you add elements to add the duration if you want to be able to see nice charts that show you analytics. But when we click in, you can immediately start to see some of these analytics, and we have this chart showing up that tells us at different parts of the video, also showing the thumbnail of what pops up at that moment, what, the amount of engagement was, and whether people rewatched it.
So you get super, super in detail stats about, people, their interest in certain media, and which parts stuck out to them most and more. You can immediately see the percentage of engagement and the number of plays and the number of minutes watched overall, then you can break it down by last ninety days or last twelve months so you can get different schedules showing up. But essentially, we get a list of all the individual plays and who did it or whether it was an anonymous visitor, if they weren't logged in. You can see when it was, then you can see specifically parts they skipped or they engaged in multiple times, which you see that dark blue, block for, and the percentage of the video they watched. Then if you hover over, you can see the kind of device they were using, what software they were using, and also what browser.
So you can get a lot of super helpful info on how people are engaging with your Rock media. These numbers turn your video from a guess into a strategy. You can see exactly where people engaged and where they dropped off so that you can plan your next pieces properly.
