Half a name is usually all it takes. Whether you're using a person's address, their email, their phone number, or just their name, it's easy to find the people that you need in Rock. So it's easy to search for the people or even groups you need. As an example of some shorthand you can use, we have the name, option selected here. I'll put in the first letter of Ted's first name, last few of his last name, hit enter. He's the only one that shows up here. So we go straight to his profile. So really simple search there and the less letters you type in the better because, , you might not know the perfect spelling of their name. If just a few letters, it's easy to find what you need. Now let's show if we were to type in Decker, there's many Deckers. So it'll pull up this person search grid here, which is really nice because you can actually take quick action from here such as bulk updating or merging person records, even sending communications. Then you have a couple columns here. You can even filter on those to find the right people. Then you can click to go straight to a person's profile. Now, let me show you a different case here. If I were to type in just Ted and hit enter, nothing shows up. And you might be a little bit confused because you think, well, Ted Decker's in the system. But out of the box, Rock uses last names as the assumption for what you're searching. So it was assuming we're looking for someone with the last name Ted here. We don't have someone that in our system. But if you wanna change that, if you prefer to search by specifically first name, you can go to admin tools, then settings, start typing in search. We'll go down to search services. You'll see a component list that matches what we have here. You can pick whether that option is even active to be seen. You can reorder those components as well. But let's click on name and we can switch to allow search by only first name. And now if we were to search Ted, we would find the person that we want. With a few keystrokes, your staff land on the right person every time. That means more time for the people that are in front of you.
