With text giving, people can give in the amount of time it takes to send a text. Using a keyword and amount after you've done a little bit of registration will make giving seamless for people that are attending. Now let's talk about how to get it set up in Rock now. So if it's my first time giving via text, then this is what it's gonna look . So I've messaged give 100 to the number that I've been given for text giving. And I get a response here saying, giving alerts register here. And I get a link to the place where I can actually register to do text giving. And this is just for enrollment. I'll show you what it looks after you've enrolled. Once you've enrolled, giving is super, super easy. You don't even need to think about it. You can just say give for example, give an amount and you'll immediately get confirmation. Thank you. Your gift has been received. And you can even do things refund and more from just this text interface, but let's get into what it looks to do the setup and then how to set up this internally. So this is the text to give setup. If you were to click that link that asks you to register for text giving, you'd simply enter this amount for the first time. You could add another account, pick the fund you wanna give to. You add your address, you pick a card or use a different payment method and add your email, then you can simply submit the form. And from then on, text giving will be easy. Now we're on the internal homepage. Let's look at how to set up this SMS pipeline. So go to admin tools up to settings and we'll type in SMS for the SMS pipeline. Let's click on this default one to give an example. One of the actions you can add is give, and this is where the setup is gonna be for that pipeline. If you click edit here, we'll go in and there's a name, all these different things, but what's most important is this giving section here. You can pick a give keyword that you say first before you give an amount. You can add all kinds of different keywords in this comma separated list. Then there's also a setup keyword and this will be expected at the beginning of the message to do setup. Then you can pick a maximum gift amount if you're worried that a gift you get might be too much or someone might accidentally give an amount that's more than what they can afford, though you don't need to set a maximum gift amount. Then you can pick financial accounts and these accounts must be the same as on the actual actual registration block, which I'll show you what I mean in just a moment. In this case, we're picking no accounts. That's totally fine. Then we can pick the setup page you get linked to when you are setting up or giving for the first time. And we'll go to that page in just a moment. You can also add a keyword for a refund and then you can add a processing delay just as a safeguard in case someone didn't mean to do refunding for their gift. Though you do have to explicitly say refund. So pretty commonly they are asking for a refund. Then you can get really specific using Lava actually, if you'd for all the different responses. And these are just the messages that are shown for things when you give above the max amount, when you need help, when you're doing setup, success response, refund failure. So even what I showed you earlier with that text we got to our phone after we tried to give, but we hadn't set up, you can really specify what all of these actually say. There's all kinds. Then save response. This is just for if you want this automatic response that's sent to be saved in your communication history so that you can see later a paper trail of these messages. So we'll just save, then we're gonna go back to that setup block that we were on on our external site, the text to give setup, and I'm gonna go to the block settings. And something I wanna note is that these two things you need to do for a text to giving setup. Enable multi account, you say no. Then you pick accounts that are the same as your SMS pipeline setup. So I just removed this one as we have zero accounts set up or we don't have a specific accounts specified on the internal SMS pipeline. And we have the same thing here. Now we can go down. There's lots of templates and things you can change here. We're gonna save these settings. And now as long as you have your SMS enabled, you have SMS set up internally in Rock, then you can start receiving text gifts. Text giving removes friction and meets people right where they are. Set it up once and you have a frictionless way for people to be generous.
