Your event registration just filled up, but more people wanna join. You can use waitlists to make sure that's handled properly so that as room opens up, people can come in order. We'll look at how to set up waitlists for a registration right now. So to start getting people on your waitlist, all you need to do is this, go to event to start putting people on your waitlist, all you need to do is this. Go to tools, down to event registration, click on that, and we're gonna pick our summer camp template and we're gonna edit it. Go into the details section and just make sure enable waitlist is checked on. With that, you can just click save. And now we're gonna go to the actual instance, which is summer camp twenty twenty seven. We'll click into that and make sure to edit it. And you're going to set a maximum number of attendees. Of course, this is only if it's relevant, but we're gonna say that only five people can attend this, that's the maximum. When you do that, you'll also see this registration session pop up. And this is basically a way for you to throttle for large events when a bunch of people are signing up, how long their session is, and this is automatically enabled when a maximum attendee limit is set. And that means this is how long people have to finish a registration. We'll click save. And now let's move to the actual registration. So nothing's showing up here, but if we refresh the page, we first of all have that session limit. And note at this point, we have four people signed up for the event, so signing up one more is no problem. But if we up it to two, we start to get a warning and that says that we only have capacity for one more registrant. The first you add will be registered. The remaining one will be added to the wait list. Now I'm gonna click through this registration. And first we have an attribute, then you'll notice there's this green banner that says this registrant will be fully registered. I'm gonna skip through this. Okay. Now I'm on to the next registrant and you can see it says this registrant will be on the waiting list. So now when we enter this info, that's really all it's gonna ask for. There's not as much of an in-depth sign up and we can sign the release here, but we'll end up seeing this, which shows that we're paying for Brian Jones now because he's gonna be a part of this registration regardless. Brianna Jones is gonna go on the waiting list for now, so no payment is needed. But you can easily still pay for the other person and you'll see that this person, Brianna will be on the waiting list. Click next, go through the payment details, and that'll be a success. Then we can see this warning up top that says this registration only had capacity for one registrant. And now we're gonna head back to the internal view. So we're looking at the instance, and we can see that Alicia Marble signed up these two registrants, and one of them has this label that says waitlist. And also now we have this tab that says waitlist. So if we go and click on this, we'll see the order, who came first to make it fair. And if we wanna click into this individual, we can edit and you can see here, you can just go straight to a person profile, it's a nice view. And when we go to edit, we can actually swap them from the waitlist to a registrant. Click save. And it says registration is full. So just to simulate what this would really look , let's say that one of our people can no longer go Brian Jones. We'll remove him. And now when we go to edit and we swap the status to registrant, we can click save here. And that's really nice. Now the person who signed up, Brianna Jones, will get a, basically a confirmation that she has been swapped to a registrant status, and the person that signed her up will be able to go and fill out all the information needed and make a payment, then Brianna will be all good to attend to this event. A waitlist turns your full event that would have been a closed door instead into an orderly line. Set it up and you'll always have people ready to take a spot.
