If you wanna tell a story about how a person is engaging with your organization or even log notes that update your staff or your volunteers on what's going on in a person's life or how you can help them, person notes is the best way to do that. Let's get into it right now. To see person notes in action, we're gonna go to the person profile. Now when the person profile loads up, you'll notice that notes are in the center of it all. And that's because notes are super important in Rock in helping people understand what's going on with a person, what's new in their life, and more. But it's really easy to create a note. All you have to do is click and type, pick whatever note type this is, and you can pick whether you want this to be an alert note or just private to you or even if you wanna pin this note to the top. So we'll save and you can see this note and it's pinned to the top of our list here. Now this is person notes we're looking at, but I'm gonna show you how we can configure note types. We're gonna do that by going to admin tools, settings, and looking up note types. Now on this block, are already filtered to show only the entity type of person. And again, we've been looking at person notes, and I wanna add a new note type for a person. We're just gonna click add here. Let's call this care notes. The entity type is very simple. It's gonna be person. And just to differentiate, we're gonna give an icon here of Band Aid because it's care notes. Then we just wanna make sure that this note type is user selectable. Now I'll click save. And as you can see, we have that new note type. Now let's go to the person profile. Now whenever we're adding a note, there's a new option here, and you can pick this note type of care notes. So let's say test for care. But note types help you separate the kind of notes you're creating and even associate a note with a specific entity. Something else that's helpful about those note types is that you can filter now on notes, and that makes it easy to turn in what could be an overwhelming or overwhelming list of notes into a simple list. Now real quick, let's look at the block settings. If we click the settings cog here, as you can see, you can pick a heading for this notes block, an icon for it, what you wanna call the these notes. They could be called notes or something else. There's many other settings, but you can actually pick which specific note types we wanna show on this block. If you want to narrow it down. And importantly, you can pick the entity type that this context is for. So in this case, we've picked person, meaning this block knows that we're looking at person notes here and we're saving person notes here. Person notes is a really special feature. So I hope you're excited about all the ways you can use it to update your volunteers and staff and yourself on what's going on in someone's life or important things you need to know about a person.
