Okay. Now the step program's been created, so it's time for you to create some step types. An example of a step type would be something baptism. And once you complete all the step types in our program, you're done with it. But let's get into what the step types look for the discipleship path program right now.
To access a step type, we'll go to people, down to steps, and we already have this program out of the box discipleship path. Let's select it. And here, there's some step types already created, and you can see they're displaying a lot of the parts of the configuration such as engagement type, objective, impact weight, and then you can see the statuses and where people are at and the different statuses. And let's add another step type here so you can see what it looks . Click the plus button, and I'll skip ahead here.
I've got some basic information filled out for the step type the name and description, and this is gonna be a membership step type. And we've added the and some other places. So this helps distinct elected a fitting icon, and we have the option to show count on badge. I'm gonna turn it off. But what it does is if this were enabled, the badge that goes on a user's profile once this step type is completed, would show the number of times you've completed the step.
But we're only gonna make this something you can do one time, so this won't matter. And looking at the general settings, there's quite a few important settings here. So engagement type. We have none selected, but you can be specific here such as for this step type, is it a milestone, meaning something that's completed one time and you don't need to compete complete it again and again? Or rhythm, which means this is a thing that you need to be in the routine of, basically.
So imagine a rhythm as being part of a small group. That's not something that you do one time. It's something you engage in over time. So let's say for this step type to be complete, it's gonna be a rhythm. So you have to stay a member for this step to be complete.
And that means if this is a prerequisite to anything, then as soon as you are no longer a member, you're not completing that step anymore. This is a prerequisite for. Then organizational objective. Now this is these are just defined to be about activation. The people that are members in our church are because I consider this a pretty high impact step.
What this means is when you look at charts later on, you can more easily see based on the weight of the then moving on, prerequisite steps. You'll have to do all these before you become a member. Okay. Then completion options. Should you be allowed to complete this This means that any step you take, can only be completed means when you are adding someone to this step as having completed it or started it.
Do you need to add a date there? And I think it's important for membership. So we'll keep that checked. Then the call to action path. This is something that you can set up that helps individuals understand how to complete this step.
So, for example, you could say complete member meeting, then we could add a link such as rocksolidchurchdemo.com/membership, and we could add a description if we want as well. And the individuals that are completing this step will be able to look at this so they know exactly how this step is completed. Right now, this isn't set up to be viewed anywhere in Rock, but it's important to set up here because it will be used in the future. Then step attributes. This is important if we want people to be able to set an attribute on a step once it's completed.
We're gonna skip that for now. Workflows, same thing. You can pick to launch a workflow either when a step is completed, the status has changed, or you can do it manually, but we're not gonna do that right now. Then there's some advanced settings as well. We're gonna click save, though.
And we're already looking at the view of what this step type looks . Nothing's happened yet. No steps have been completed. No individuals have completed this. But in the future, once we've been using this for a while, there's gonna be a nice view.
Now that your step types are ready, it's time to get rolling with your program. And if you wanna learn more about step charts or how to enter people into steps, please
