Rock U - Communications - Communication Analytics

In face to face interactions, we have the luxury of seeing how we have no idea what they're doing. But Rock tries to take out some of the guesswork by having some beautiful analytics that help you figure out how people are receiving your messages. Let's get into how it looks right now. So we'll start by going to people, then scroll and click communication reports, then communication history. And right away, you can see there's a really great view of all the messages you've recently sent, and it's automatically ordered by how recently you sent it.
But there's many different ways to filter down the communications that you're looking at, such as, first of all, you can pick whether it was sent by me or sent by anyone. Then you can pick which mediums you wanna look at. And note, this is all happening super fast. So even though we have a bunch of communications, the filtering is rapid. This settings icon pick who the communication is sent by, whether you wanna see drafts, what date range you're looking at, what the recipient count is, topics, the name of the communication, and even the content of the communication.
Then we can see there's a couple different columns here showing information about each message, and we can see what the medium is, what the status of the message is, how many recipients, a topic if you've picked one, what the send date is, and who sent this message. If you want to filter down these columns so you can see exactly the message you're looking for, you can go here, click this filter icon, and we're only gonna look at sent status messages. Also note that you can search for communication by name right here using this nice search box. But we're gonna look into the column. So look at this building fund update message.
We can actually right off the bat see some KPIs, some nice, numbers that tell us how many people was this delivered to of the recipients, how many opened, how many failed, and how many unsubscribed. Then you can even see an AI summary of the content here, which is really nice if if you wanna quickly see what was the content of this message. To get this, make sure you have an AI provider set up in your settings. We're gonna click into this message, and we get lots of analytics. So you can see exactly what people did with your message, such as a breakdown of the delivery, some nice KPIs regarding performance, the percentage that opened, what was the click through rate, how many people marked this message as spam, and how many unsubscribed.
Then let's zoom out to see this nice chart here. And one thing I wanna note is depending on the communication provider you're using, you'll get different analytics to pop up. And, we're using Mailgun here. You will get the most analytics when you're looking at an email message as well because more analytics are tracked for emails. But this really nice chart here shows us the performance over time of this message, such as the open rate, click through, spam, unsubscribe.
And if you click on any of these, it'll remove them from being plotted. Then the flow chart is really, really good visual to help you understand from start to finish how people were receiving this message. So for example, here at the start, it was sent. 55 got it delivered. And of those who got it delivered, the majority opened it, less clicked, even less marked it as spam, and some unsubscribed as well.
Scrolling more, we can see the top performing links from the communication, and you can click see all links to see more of those. Then to get the demographics of the recipients, we can see unique opens for this message by gender and by age range as well. You can even look at the exact clients that the recipients were using when they opened your message. Now that's a lot of great stuff, but there's even more actually. We're gonna click on the message details tab right here, and you can see exactly who sent this message, who it's from, just all the details about when this was sent out, what settings there were.
And you can preview the exact message that got sent out so you can remind yourself of what it looked . And if you this message, if you wanna quickly get out a message with the same kinds of details and actually the same setup for your message, you can click the duplicate button right here, and it'll take you to the communication wizard and get you sending this message again. Now recipient details is a really drilled down view where you can see exactly the people who received the message, what activity they engaged in, and whether they got it delivered, opened, clicked it, unsubscribed, or even marked it as spam. If you wanna look through these recipients quickly, you can search right here, and you can also set some settings. And what's really nice about this is if there are some extra stats or details you wanna get on the recipients, you can even add attributes here.
You can do that very easily, add them to the grid by clicking save. Now we can see all the recipients' ages if they have that on their profile. And even deeper, we can go by clicking on a recipient. You can see lots of details about who they are, then you can see the exact timeline of the activities that they took when looking at this message such as when it was delivered to them, if they opened it, when they opened it, and clicks as well. That was communication analytics, and there are so many great ways for you to find out what are people doing with my message once I send it to them.
And you can even break it down by individuals, and you can look back at the message that you sent. If you wanna learn more about communications in Rock, please watch our other Rock U videos on communications, and thank you for watching.
