Rock U - Groups - Group Attendance

Okay. So let's talk about group attendance and look at how it plays out within Rock. When you're in a group detail page, you might notice that if if the group is set up to take attendance, will see a check mark right below the location maps. And so if you go ahead and click on that, you'll go into a screen that looks this. And this shows you all the different type times attendance has been taken for that group.
Now if I were to edit or to add, from the very bottom of the screen, I would see this. So what's gonna happen is I'm gonna enter in the date that I want to take the attendance for. In this case, I'm editing so I can't edit the date. But if I was adding it, I could add the date up here. And then I'm just gonna click which group members attended, that that date and time.
Now if you didn't meet, it's still a value to say we did not meet. At least says that the that something, that an occurrence of that was supposed to happen but did not. So that's still a value to to go in there and have people, check that off because that tells you too who's taking attendance. So if you're taking weekly attendance, you're trying to automate that through emails. If they don't say we didn't meet, you don't know if they did they not meet or did they not take attendance responded to that attendance email.
So it's important to kind of have this feature to say that, attendance was entered but we didn't meet. So it's as simple as that. You just click the the check boxes for the group members, hit save, and your attendance is done. And then you'll come back out here and then that that attendance will have been entered. Now, you can also put these same blocks and they aren't they already come pre configured in the group toolbox that comes with Rock on the outside.
Okay. So this this block here is the exact same block that we're looking at. It's just on the external site and the external theme. And the person out here can do the same the same features. Now, through automation, there's a Rock job that will send out, the attendance on the night that the group meets, where the person can then put in the attendance and it'll pre populate the the the date for it and then they can go ahead and check off who is there.
This makes, having your group leaders take attendance if you'd very simple. So they just get an email, they click the link in the email, they come here, check, check, hit save and they're pretty much done taking attendance. So this is the tools for doing the manual entry of group attendance. Of course, there's check-in features for things serving teams and for small groups that maybe meet on-site that you use the check-in app for. But this is mainly for kind of leader entered or staff entered attendance for groups.
