The learning management system in Rock is a series of tools that help you create or manage educational content. Let's go right into it. First of all, something that is very crucial is there are two different configuration modes, and it's important that you pick the right one when you're setting up your program. So the first, mode is on demand, and you're gonna wanna pick this when you have students that you want to be able to start or end the course whenever they want because this is self paced. Now the second mode is academic calendar. This is what you're going to want to pick when you want a more traditional system, and it will have strict time based semesters. So students will start the course or they'll end the course at the same time. And this setup is a bit more complicated, but that also means that there's a couple extra features a progress bar. There's also the opportunity to create a syllabus for your course so that students know what they're getting into. Also, there is a, a thing where you can send out notifications when a new activity comes out. Now moving on, we're going to cover a couple terms so that we can solidify what LMS is in your mind. So the LMS has this hierarchy. At the top level, there are programs, and a program, for example, would be something biblical studies. And below that, especially if you're doing on demand mode, this is the path you're gonna follow. There are courses, and a course is more specific, something biblical studies than the gospels or the prophets, whatever you want it to be. Below that are classes, and classes are just an instance of a course. But for academic calendar mode, because it's just semester based, you're gonna skip from program down to class. And an example of a class for academic calendar mode would be fall semester, the gospels, or spring semester, the gospels. Now classes have a couple components. They're pretty simple, though. That being the learning participants, which are the students, of course, and then there's also activities, and classes are comprised of activities. There's many types in Rock such as a, an essay or a file upload, a quiz, things that. So thank you for listening on the LMS. This has been an overview of the learning management system. Thanks for watching.
