Rock U - Groups - Group RSVP Overview
Transcribed Video Content
You probably already know how flexible and robust Rock's event registration features can be, But sometimes it might be a little bit more than you need. Sometimes you just wanna know who's coming or who's not coming, plain and simple. That's where group RSVP comes in. So what's it all about? Well, RSVP starts with a group.
You have to have a group or be planning for an event, but either way, all RSVP features are tied directly to a particular group. The group doesn't need to have any members, but it does need to exist so that the individuals who accept your RSVP can be added to it. Then, once you have your group set up, you'll set up occurrences to indicate the date and the location, the when and the where of the group. And so you'll get that organized and attached to the group as an occurrence. Then you can send group RSVP emails to request responses from invitees.
And there's a lot of flexibility here that we'll get into into it in a later video. Once you've sent your emails, the recipients will receive them and respond with either an accept or a decline. Once the individuals have either accepted or declined, responses can be managed and tracked from within Rock. And we'll show you what that looks in a minute. One of the best features of Group RSVP are the custom email options that you have at your disposal to make sure that the group requests that you send out are tailored to your specific needs.
You can also customize the response options that you can use. So for example, if you simply want somebody to accept or decline the invitation, you can do that. Or if you need a little bit additional information from them, you can also ask for that as part of the acceptance process. Again, we'll get into details on how to set that up in a future video. And last but not least, within Rock you can view and manage the responses that come in.
And so you can see here that we know who has accepted and who has declined. If there were any, we could see who has not yet responded as applicable. And you can make changes to the response data if you need to. Hopefully that gives you a little bit of an idea of what Group RSVP is all about, and hopefully you're already thinking of some ideas of how you might be able to use it. We'll get into the setup in the next videos, and in the meantime, you can also check out our Rock Your Groups guide posted online for additional details.
Thanks for watching.
