Rock U - Event & Calendar - Events - Registration Structure

Okay. So let's take a minute and look at the structure of event registration before we go go down and look at how we configure all of this because this is really important. Now when we were going to create the event registration system for Rock, we were thinking specifically about the unique cases, within churches. And so within churches it's often, common that you have, an event that's gonna be multiple times and it's gonna have the same kind of pattern over and over. So we really wanted the ability to create event registrations to be very streamlined and quick and also using a templating, concept. So you can create a template and create instances of that template. And so let's look at an example of this. So for instance, in the church that we're looking at here, they have a Rock solid finance class and that class happens once a month and they'd to take registration for that class once a month. Now in a normal event registration process, you'd have to basically recreate, an event registration for each one of these classes. But with this templating capability, we set that template once and then we just create instances of that template. And there's a few small things that you can change on these instances to kind of configure it just for when is it open, when is it closed. But for the most part, a lot of the configuration is gonna be in this template. So you can kind of think of it as creating a cookie cutter. Obviously, with a given a knife, you could hand cut all your cookies, but they wouldn't be very, standardized and they would be very time consuming to do. And with event registration standardization is actually really important because in a lot of these, not only you taking people's information but you might be taking their money. So making sure that those, templates are solid and correct is really important. So think of the the concept here is your registration template is the cookie cutter and your instances are the cookies that you'll be cutting out. Having that as we go deeper into the configuration, having this concept will be really important. So let's go ahead and dig deeper into that.
