Okay. So let's start our exploration of event registration by doing a quick walkthrough of event registration. And that will show a lot of the features that are possible through, the registration process and give you, an idea so when we start deconstructing it, , what we're looking at. Okay. So here in our example, what we're gonna do is we're gonna register, four kids for summer camp.
And so what we're gonna do is say how many registrants are we be registering. So this is what we're defining how many kids we're gonna actually, sign up for and take. And so the first person that we're gonna add is Katie Franks. So Katie is, her information is entered in here. Her, leader preference and cabin preference is assigned.
Her additional fields is configured to get a t shirt of size small. And when we go through, a registration, one of the common things that we find especially with church registrations is we're registering people from different families. And typically a system will just all throw them in as one family and it's not very structured very well. So when we were thinking through Rock, we really spent a lot of time looking at what are the unique, use cases for a church. And one of them was this whole family concept.
So as we get to our second registrant, we're gonna enter in Alexis Decker and all her information. Now one of the key things we're gonna add here at the top is we're gonna ask, hey, is Alexis in the same family as Katie or is she none of the above? So this gives us the ability to start patterning the family situation, through this registration. Okay. So we're gonna choose none of the above because Alexis Decker is not, sisters with Katie.
Okay. So then we move on, to the next person and this one is Noah Decker. Now Noah is the, brother of Alexis. So we're gonna go ahead and say, they're these two are actually in the same family. And so this kind of shows you how we're building this family concept.
So we get to the very end, we'll create the correct family situation. Okay. And I said four, but we're actually registering three people. So we get to the final screen. And the person who's actually doing the registration is gonna fill in some information about themselves and then we'll see a payment summary down below of all the costs.
So from there, they'll enter their payment information and when they complete it, they'll see a nice receipt on the screen. Okay? Immediately after that, an email will be sent to, the person doing the registration that gives them a receipt same information that we saw on that screen but they're gonna get it inside their email. And one the things we want to note here is that we're getting some additional text from the registration instance here. So when we set up these registration instances, can give it a little bit of text to add to the receipt that gives them a special tip or some more information specific to that registration instance.
Later as that event is coming up, we can schedule a registration reminder. And so we have a couple different options here. We can have some additional, information here from the registration instance, maybe what to bring the camp, some specific things to keep in mind. So this allows us to really easily insert some, notes right here. But then down below too, if there's any kind of, remaining balance, you can have it, get paid off by clicking on this link.
So this would only show if there's remaining balance. And as you see as we get deeper into the tools within Rock, paying off and and and reminding people of of remaining balances is super easy. But this is just one of one of the areas that we're showing how you can get that remaining balance paid off. So that's a quick walkthrough of the event registration process within Rock.
