So let's look at how we do family attributes. So as it says, it's just attributes on a family. So if I come into Ted Decker's record here, I'll see that there really are no family attributes defined yet. So we'll go ahead and do that. So we'll go under, admin tools, general settings.
And if you think about it, families are actually a type of group. So we'll go into group types and then family. So just any group, we can define our our group attributes right here. So we'll go ahead and add two new family attributes. So the first one is foster family, so that's gonna determine if this family is a foster family and that makes sense to be a boolean.
I don't need a default value. Now, this family attribute, I want to always show every time that person profile pages is displayed. I don't wanna have to hit that little arrow down to see all of the attributes. I want it to always be there. So I'm gonna place it on the grid, show on grid.
Okay. Now I'm gonna make up another family attribute here and this might be has the family home been inspected for fostering. So, foster home inspection complete. Okay. So we'll go ahead.
That makes sense also to be a boolean. Now this time I'm not gonna check the show on Greek because I don't want to always see this. I only wanna see this if I'm interested in that and I'll notice that they're a foster family so that'll give me a little hint that there might be more data there that I wanna look at. So I'm gonna go ahead and hit save and save again. Okay.
So now if I go back to Ted's record, I still don't see anything because there's no values for that yet. But if I go and edit the family, I should have two new attributes down below. So I'm gonna go ahead and say, yes, he is a foster family and yes, his home has been inspected. So we'll go ahead and save those. Now when I come back, you'll notice the foster family says yes.
And if I hit the down arrow, I can see the value for the other attribute which is his home inspection. So that's how you create, family attributes today. We are planning in future releases to have things categories and other ways of adding a little bit more power to these, family attributes. But for now, you can go ahead and start creating them and putting values into them.
