The Family Pre Registration Settings built into your external website is a great feature for new families to be able to register prior to attending your services for the first time. And if they have kids, this will help check-in be faster and easier for them. Let's jump right inside of Rock on the external website and take a look at the block settings on how this can be set up and customized for your organization. We're going to go to our Connect page and scroll down where we see the Family Pre Registration. Now, of course, with all of our settings here in Rock, you're able to customize where this page is and how new families can access it.
Let's go down and look at the block settings on setting up these settings on the information that you would for your new families. We're going click on the block properties. And here's our extensive list of all the settings for the Family Pre Registration. Now most of these settings is a yes or no answer, a hide optional or required answer. Let's take a look at some of the highlighted ones.
You can have your campuses be shown and have a default campus. Have them choose what visit date they're planning on coming to, any kind of family attributes. And these Allow Updates and Automatch settings will help keep Rock not from creating duplicate profiles. Now, let's say that this family has attended a special event in the past and they're already in the system in Rock. Well Rock is going to see that.
And instead of creating a new profile, they're just going to auto match it with the current profile they have. Allow Updates is for when if somebody's already logged into your external website, it's going to update that current profile. So you'll want to make sure that if this is set up on your campus somewhere that nobody's logged in to this profile because you don't want their information to be updated with a new family. Here you can choose which connection status and record status that you want. It could be a member, attendee, visitor, participant, or web prospect.
We'll keep it at web prospect. And the Record Status can also be chosen as well. You can add workflow types to automatically send somebody a notification that somebody has registered, require a campus to be selected. This is where you're able to pretty much just ask for the adult properties. You can require gender, have optional birthdays, marital status, email, mobile phone, and we also have attribute categories.
Here we have employment set up as an attribute because we want to know about their employment. We can remove this and have it no longer be shown on that registration page. And here we have our child fields. Same thing with having the properties of the child information. Have their gender be required, their birthday required, and the grade is optional.
Scrolling down, we can also choose some child relationships. Maybe they want to bring another child outside of their family. They can have relationship types as immediate family or you can have somebody as can check-in. We'll hit Save. And here's what your new families are going to see when they're pre registering for your services.
