Transcribed Video Content
In this video, we're going to talk about additional fees inside registration. In most cases, we all have additional material for our events. Whether it be a workbook for our marriage conference coming up or a camp t shirt. Let's jump right inside of Rock to see how these additional fees can be set up and the options that come along with it. Here in the Event Registration page, we're going to edit the template.
For summer camp this year, we want to have some t shirts. We'll click here on the fees tab and add a new fee. Here are all the fee properties. First, we're going to add a name. We have so many different options in here.
Let's break them down a little bit. First, we have a single option or multiple option. Single options means there's only one choice. For this case, one t shirt isn't really going to work out for a big summer camp. We're going to choose multiple.
Now we're going to add how many we have. Here, we're going to have three different types. We're going have a small, a medium, and a large. These are all going to be $10 Now, this Max Available option here will show the people registering how many available t shirts there are. Let's start out with 200.
As your registrations come along and more and more people are buying t shirts, these numbers will automatically start to decrease until it's zero. Once it's zero, it will be grayed out for this option to not be available. We also have Enable Quantity. Now this will allow anybody to be able to choose more than one item. If we hit Yes, somebody can buy five small t shirts.
We're going keep this unchecked, so only one is available per registrant. We can have discounts be applied to this additional fee. Is Active means it will actually be on the registration page when registering. And Is Required. Let's break down Is Required a little bit further.
Now when a single option is set to Is Required, it will automatically check the box and disable it to prevent any changes. When a single option with quantity is set to Required, then it will have a minimum quantity of one and it won't prevent anybody from going back to zero. Multiple options with required will display a message if no value is selected from the drop down and it will require them to pick one before moving on in the registration. Multiple options with quantity will also display a message if all options have a value of zero. Once these are set, let's hit Save.
We'll save it in our template. Let's take a look on the external website on how this looks when people are registering for summer camp. Here on the external site, we're going to register one person for summer camp. Since I'm logged in as admin, it's asking if I'm in the same immediate family. I want to say none of the above.
And this is just going to be the admin adding somebody from the external site. We're going to register Andrew. We must add information for all the required fields before moving on in the registration. Here we see our additional options. We didn't add this as a required field, so they don't have to get a t shirt.
But Andrew would a t shirt. So we're going to give him one and register for it. Now we'll hit Next. In the Review Registration, we're going to click No, not in the same immediate family as Alicia. And we can see the t shirt additional cost.
I have to add the payment information. This is all fake card information for our demo. And the fake expiration date. Then I'll hit finish. Great.
Now we're done. Let's go back inside of the Event Registration and check out the instance to see these additional fees. Here we're going to scroll down. We see our Summer Camp twenty nineteen. Here on the tabs, we'll click on Fees.
And here it is. If there were more fees for the other registrants, we would see all of them here on this list. For greater details on fees and additional fees, be sure to check out the Event and Calendar Guide.
