The File Upload activity enables students to submit a file with the required content to complete the activity. You can provide additional instructions and attach a grading rubric to outline the evaluation criteria, if applicable.

Rubric Settings

Show Rubric on Upload - Displays the rubric to students while they upload, so they can check their work against it before submitting.

Show Rubric on Scoring - Puts the rubric in front of the facilitator during grading, which keeps scoring consistent across a large class.

If Show Rubric on Scoring is enabled, here is what the student sees upon submission.

Retake Threshold

Set a Retake Threshold beside Points on the activity to give students another attempt when their upload scores below it. Because file uploads are graded by hand, the facilitator makes the call: an Assign Retake checkbox appears while scoring whenever the entered Points Earned falls below the threshold.
