A metric is only as useful as the numbers behind it. When you are entering those numbers by hand, this is where you do it. Metrics that pull their own values automatically are covered in Calculate Metrics.

There are two kinds of values you can enter:

Measures - The actual readings for the metric, each with a date and a value, plus an optional note that is handy for explaining an outlier or a special situation.

Goals - The target you are aiming for, so a chart can show how you are tracking against plan. Goals can use broad date ranges: to set a single goal for the whole year, add two goal values, one for January 1 and one for December 31.

Open the metric and add a Measure or Goal, then enter its date and value. For weekend service counts specifically, see Enter Service Metrics.
