You might encounter a scenario where personalization appears to be working differently from how you intended. In that case, the tips below should help you resolve any problem you're facing.

Segment Cookie
There is a cookie that gets placed on the person's browser called ROCK_SEGMENT_FILTERS. This stores the segments that the person meets. By default, this data is refreshed every five minutes, so it will not change in real time. You can change this refresh interval by adjusting the Personalization Segment Cookie Affinity Duration setting under Admin Tools > System Settings > System Configuration.
