Trending highlights the content your people are engaging with right now, so your site can feature the sermon series or article catching fire this week instead of whatever was posted most recently. This article is the closer look at how Rock decides what is trending.
Three settings shape the calculation, all set on the content collection when you Set Up Content Collections:
Rock scores each content channel item on its own. It counts the item's views inside the trending window, then divides that count by a number that grows with the item's age. Gravity sets how fast the number grows. Rock ranks the items by score and marks the top ones as trending.
Together they let you tune trending to your organization's rhythm.
