Blog - Introducing Pushpay: Now With Direct Integration Into Rock.
Published: Mar 31, 2016
This one has been a long time coming. We're excited to finally announce the Pushpay API integration, something the community has
been widely anticipating since the conference last October.
From the beginning it was our goal at Spark Development Network to make innovative technology available to all churches, not just
the larger ones. We wanted to solve hard tech problems so pastors and church leaders could focus on what they do best – ministry.
As the Rock CMS community has grown (we continue to be blown away by this!), we've made a pledge to keep it open source, yet
without ever sacrificing the enterprise-level quality our churches need.
It was a win-win for us then that, besides sharing our heart for the local church, Pushpay also checked the boxes as a product we
were proud to recommend. From a security standpoint, Pushpay is not only bank grade (PCI) compliant, but also independently tested
and reviewed to ensure the highest security standards at all times. From a user experience perspective, we're confident you'll
see its design and simplicity is on the same professional, world-class level as Rock.
From a software perspective, their mobile giving app allows people to give in 10-seconds or less. As a complete solution, they
offer text, kiosk, online, and mobile options. And they've been extremely collaborative with their open API, making integration
much simpler. What we love about them is their emphasis on helping churches not only engage new givers, and then also help to
turn them into recurring givers.
Here's how the integration works:
-
If you're currently a Pushpay customer, you can immediately begin importing your giving transactions into Rock. Simply
download the Pushpay plug-in from the Rock store to get started.
-
If you're not currently using Pushpay, get a quick demo of all the functionality and see if it might be a good fit for
your church. The integration will be ready and waiting for you.
As always, drop your thoughts, feedback, and questions about this integration into the community forums. We're excited to hear
what you think!
