Not every organization counts school years the way US grade levels do. Rock lets you relabel the grade system to match local conventions, so a family in the UK sees "Year 7" instead of "6th Grade."

Grades live in the School Grades defined type. To change what each grade is called, go to Admin Tools > Settings > Defined Types > School Grades, open a value, and edit its Description (what staff and families see) without changing its Value (what Rock stores).

Then set your grade transition date so Rock advances everyone on the right day for your region.
